Every job I've ever had, there has always been at least one Kiss Ass. At least Smithers has an excuse...he's gay and he's in love with his boss! This is not the case for most Kiss Asses you see at the workplace, and for some reason they tend to be girls (probably has to do with their social upbringing). I don't think these people really understand what they're doing when they kiss ass. They see it as normal; they've probably been doing it all their lives. If you were to confront one of them about it or drop a hint (sort of like I did one time), it'll probably go right over their head! Don't worry if you see these people getting the promotion, position, or raise you wanted....don't do it! Remember these words...
"I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees"
